(Editor's Note: For those who aren't familiar with FD Signifier, this video made waves in his community – it's 4 hours long, and may be entire discourse about a topic, films and culture that you've not been familiar with before, but as a daughter of a Tyler Perry Fan™, and a Black Filmmaker myself, there is so much to learn from how Perry operates in the industry vs his peers, and the critiques of Perry's work are amazing. Can't recommend this enough, but it is very long!)
